The Best Games to Watch in 2019
Whether it’s an NFL game, a basketball game, or a game of soccer, I just hope that both teams have fun. Even though they’re not playing for a championship, they have a chance to win, and even lose.
Neither team is expected to win
Seeing as I am a big fan of football, I figured it would be a good idea to share my picks for the best games to watch in 2019. I’ll be keeping an eye on UAB at Louisiana Tech, Georgia Southern at Auburn, and Nevada at UNLV. In case you are wondering, the Tigers are on an unblemished 29-18 record while the Rebels are a winnable 2-10.
Of course, I am partial to the aforementioned UAB-Louisiana Tech game, but the real show is the UTEP-UTSA C-USA championship game at UTSA’s McKay-Cedars Stadium. The aforementioned UTSA-UTEP game is the most coveted C-USA championship since the league was founded in 2009. The aforementioned UTSA-UTEP matchup has some serious playoff implications, but I’ll keep my eyes on the competition. UTEP is a mediocre 6-5 team in the Big Sky Conference while UTSA is a perennial powerhouse in the West Coast Conference. If you haven’t checked out the conference, make sure you do.
Each team has a chance to win
Having a chance to win means that each team has at least a 10 percent chance of playing in the Super Bowl LVII. Each team must play 9 games, and at least five of them must be wins. In addition, the other team must have four wins by the time they play their ninth game. The list is created by aggregating each team’s projected wins for the season.
The Mariners ended a 21-year playoff drought last week. Their starting pitching is good enough to keep them in any series. They have an impressive lineup that has helped them set a winning percentage record. In addition, their front office has been aggressive in the offseason, making major moves. They’ve signed pitchers such as Mike Clevinger and Joe Musgrove. This means that the team has one of the most elite starting rotations in baseball.
The Tampa Bay Rays have a similar formula. They have a deep bullpen, and their starting pitching can keep them in any series. They also have a lineup that can be dangerous when they score. They’re also one of the best teams in the National League East, quietly winning games that have left many other teams in the dust. The bullpen runs eight or nine pitchers deep. In addition, they fix matches to squeeze as much juice from their lineup as possible.
